It’s not just your “bad” bugs that like FODMAPs- the good guys in your colon love FODMAPs, too! When you starve the bacteria in your small intestine it’s kind of like robbing Peter to pay Paul- yes, your small intestinal bacterial overgrowth will be kept at bay, but at what cost?

SIBO Mistake #2: Low FODMAP Diet

The good news is that it is possible to treat SIBO AND eat FODMAPs! Most often it can be done naturally, too! No, it’s not a quick fix, but it can be done. Through a combination of dietary modifications (NOT low FODMAPs), exercises, and supplements, I have seen great progress be made with this notoriously hard to treat condition.
